Learn about Mass Oyster Project’s role in educating communities and restoring native shellfish populations as we explore the oyster upweller on Maritime Gloucester’s pier. Discover the internal anatomy of an oyster that makes it possible for them to filter harmful microplastics and other debris out of the water column through a dissection led by Maritime Gloucester’s Director of Marine Education, Kelsey Bradford.
