About the event
Ken Ford, founder of CMC Tech, LLC and a PhD chemical engineer, brings both scientific expertise and a passion for adventure to his work and life. A Professional Engineer and active member of Maritime Gloucester, Ken is also a dedicated rower with the Gloucester Gig Rowers.
In January 2026, he joined the BlueGreen Expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula as a citizen scientist aboard the research vessel Ortelius, merging his love of travel and science. In this engaging talk on April 30th, Ken will share highlights from this extraordinary journey and offer a firsthand perspective on contributing to real-world scientific research in one of the most remote places on Earth.
